Rice County Area United Way once again is thrilled to provide annual grants to nonprofit community organizations improving lives in the areas of education, health and financial stability. This year we seek to offer grants to nonprofits striving to achieve equity and helping members of our community take steps towards stability and independence in their lives.
Last year, we gave out $280,000 in grants, and we hope to equal that amount this season. This time around, grant applications are shorter and simpler. In addition, grants can be used for either general operations (i.e. staffing and infrastructure) or specific programming. Nonprofits must apply by March 18th: APPLY HERE
Want to Help Determine Our Grants?
Help us shape our community for the better by serving on a grants committee! Our committees are made up of community members with a keen interest in bettering lives, and we are looking for new members! If you are a Rice County Area United Way donor and would like to be a part of this amazing discerning process, please contact me. You’ll learn what’s happening right now where you live. Committees will meet in May. You can serve on one of the three committees: health, education, or financial stability/basic needs.
Thanks for supporting your neighbors in the Rice County area!
